Independence at Home, Bath
On 29th January, Independence at Home held an Open Day at their mobility shop located in Bath. Simpla exhibited the SimplaPhone to customers, carers and staff and the phone was positively received. A raffle also took place with the chance to win a SimplaPhone. Simpla are pleased to announce the lucky winner of the draw was David Goodband and we wish him all the best and he enjoys his new home telephone.
Discount Age
Simpla are supporters of Discount Age, an online organisation helping the over 50's receive great discount deals on products and services. Like Simpla, Discount Age are interested in creating products that help maintain and promote a person's independence and security. Discount Age recently launched the SimplicITy Computer, an easy to use computer designed for the over 50's. In support of this, Simpla are offering 10% off a SimplaPhone for all registered Discount Age members.
New Sponsors of 'Follow your Dreams'
Simpla are happy to announce that this year we are sponsoring 'Follow your Dreams'. A charity that helps young people with learning difficulties to reach their full potential. They are currently doing a tour of the UK with their Road Show, packed with activities and workshops to help raise awareness.

25th November '09 - Learning Disability Today 2009, London
‘Learning Disability Today’ was held at The Business Design Centre in London
on 25th November 2009. It is the biggest event on learning disability in the UK.
This year, the event theme was ‘It’s your life – develop the life you want!’ Simpla
demonstrated how the SimplaPhone can aid people with learning disabilities
by using a touch screen to make a call. The response from visitors was receptive
and positive. Visitors found the touch screen telephone simple to use and can help people with learning disabilities and people in general. We look forward to
participating in next years Learning Disability Today show in 2010.
17th November '09 - Real Life, Making it Happen 2009, Lincoln
Simpla exhibited at the 3rd year of 'Real Life - Making it Happen at the Epic Centre in Lincoln. People with learning disabilities, their families, professionals and carers, were invited to attend workshops and seminars with information on what is available to aid independent living. We at Simpla demonstrated just how easy and convenient the SimplaPhone is; with its user friendly touch screen and photo functionality, it can truly help people with learning disabilities. We received a warm welcome. Visitors found the phone interesting and acknowledged that our product can help improve the lives of many.

3rd - 4th November '09 - The Care Show 2009, Birmingham
This year The Care Show 2009 at the NEC, Birmingham was a great success
with many visitors from all over the U.K. Simpla Ltd had two stands at the
show including a stand in the Innovation Pavilion, which was a new feature
this year. The visitors enjoyed our demonstration of the SimplaPhone and we
look forward to receiving further feedback. We are very pleased to have
received such a fantastic response from the care industry and look forward
to next years show.
September '09 - The Oxford Times
We were very pleased to have The Oxford Times pay us a visit to talk about the SimplaPhone. The Oxford Times Thursday 17th September '09 issue featured an interview with the Simpla Ltd Founder and Chief Executive David Wilson.
August '09 - Assistive Technology Demonstration Day, Oxfordshire
The Simpla team received a very positive response at the Assistive Technology Demonstration Day in Didcot, Oxfordshire. The day was attended by those of the care profession as well as members of the general public an the SimplaPhone was enjoyed by all.
July '09 - Ridgeway Partnership Monthly Meeting
The Simpla team met with the learning disability care managers under Ridgeway Partnership to demonstrate the SimplaPhone.
The Care Show 2008, Birmingham/ Learning Disability Today 2008, London
The SimplaPhone premiered in the U.K. at The Care Show & Learning Disability Today in 2008, where the product was very positive. This further confirmed that well designed products focused on ease and convenience of use will be well received and successful.
Hong Kong Electronics Fair 2008 - Soft Launch
The Hong Kong Electronics Fair was the venue for the SimplaPhone World Launch. The response from telecom operators and other suppliers was positive.
Preview Day July 2008
In July 2008, members of the care profession were invited to a special Preview Day, which took place at the Simpla headquarters. It was a fun day to get acquainted with the SimplaPhone, and to meet and greet the Simpla team. A Q & A session was held with the opportunity to meet the man behind the product, Founder and Chief Executive David Wilson.
