Q How does it work?
It’s simple, you take a photo and add it to the directory. The phone uses ordinary caller line identity (Caller ID is a free service from some phone service providers) to match the number to the photo and display it when that person calls you. Dialling out is just the same as any other phone except you get to scroll through photos to find the person you want to call.

Q Do I need any other equipment?
No, just a phone line with Caller ID enabled with your phone service provider and a power point.

Q Is this a video phone?
No, only photos or pictures are shown when you are speaking to somebody.

Q Do I need broadband?
No, you do not need broadband, the SimplaPhone works on any normal BT phone line.

Q Can I use the handset around the house?
Yes you can. The handset will work up to 200 metres of the base unit, allowing you to have private conversations all around the house and garden. You can use the handset’s built in camera to take photos anywhere and just upload the photos when you return it to the base unit.

Q Can I make calls just using the screen and not the handset?
Yes, the base unit (screen) is a complete handsfree phone in its own right. You can make handsfree calls from the base unit even if the handset is nowehere to be seen. The SimplaPhone is two phones in one.

Q How many people can I store in my Photo Directory?

The SimplaPhone can store up to 150 entries (combination of photos/ icons/ images)

Q Do pictures come up on the handset too?

Yes the handset displays a picture just as the base unit does when a call is received.
